Interview with Abdelaziz Ahanfouf

(TheAtlasLions.com/10-05-2004) We had the pleasure to interview Moroccan international and MSV Duisburg striker Abdelaziz Ahanfouf.

Ahanfouf displayed a remarkable season with Bundesliga Zwei outfits MSV Duisburg. At the moment he is one of the best goalgetter in the league with 13 goals on his name.

1. Who is Abdelaziz Ahanfouf ?

- A simple human being, in a word a football player with ambitions.

2. What are your interests?

- I like Basketball and tennis which I practice from now and then. I also like got to the moviesr au cinéma and watch films at home on DVD.

3. Are you happy with your spell at Duisburg?

- Yes, I am very satisfied. I like it here and and I am feeling at ease.

4. Do you have received offers for next season?

- Yes

5. What are your aims with Duisburg as well as with the National team?

- Promote to Bundesliga with Duisburg and reach the finals of World Cup 2006 with Morocco.

6. What can you say about Morocco perfromance during African Cup of Nations 2004?

- They displayed a superb performance. It's great to have such a good young team.

7. Who are the best players you played with and against?

- The best player was Krassimir Balakov at VfB Stuttgart. Jürgen Kohler was the most hard adversary to play against.

8. What are your strong sides?

- I am good at technique. On the other hand I am very impatient.

9. Do you have any contact with other Moroccan players playing in Germany?

- Yes, of course. with Nasir El Kasmi, Youssef Mokhtari and Mimoun Azouagh .

10. Do you often visit Morocco? how does it feel like?

- I occasionaly visit Morocco (private and work). I feel very good when visiting Morocco because it's my country.
