Interview with Yazid Kaissi
(TheAtlasLions/2-11-2004) Here is an exclusive interview with Yazid Kaissi
1°/- Tell us about yourself
I was born near Montreuil, in the Paris area, in 1981. I have been trained in the Lens Academy since I was a little boy. I have been loaned to Wasquehal in French 2nd Division in the 2001-2002.
I get a scientific A-Level. Married.
2°/- What are your hobbies?
I use to go to the cinema with my wife and my friends. I do not go out too much, I prefer to stay at home. I do not watch a lot of football games on TV, except great Champions League games.
3°/- How do you cope with Ramadan ?
It would a lie to say that it is easy. It is not easy but we can do it. It depends on the training session.
The most difficult is not food but water which is so important when you produce a lot of efforts. When I go up to eat very soon on the morning, I take some rice and pasta in order to last all the day.
4°/- Who is your model as player?
I would say Zidane but everybody says the same thing. Actually, I love Juan Sabastian Veron. He plays as midfielder like me. Even if he is not regular, he remains one of the best in the world.
5°/- What is your favourite club and why ?
I love FC.Barcelona club because they play a fantastic football.
6°/- You helped the Moroccan Olympic team qualify to Athens games, how do you explain the failure in the Olympics?
It is a bad remember, I do prefer not to talk about his matter. The only thing I can say is that with a better preparation, we should have been much better because we had good players.
7°/- How come you are out of favour at Lens?
Four years ago, I signed my first professional contract. A four years deal. I thought it would be the beginning of a great and long career for me. Unfortunately, Mr Bijotat has been replaced by Jöel Muller, the current head coach.
Since then, I have never get a chance to show my skills. I give my best everyday at the training ground, but I know perfectly I will have no chance to play with this coach.
I do not feel under the other players.
8°/- Do you think of leaving Lens, if yes to which clubs?
Of course, I think about the possibility to leave but I will not leave for something less interesting. I have been contacted by a second division from Belgium but nothing more.
I am 23 and a one year contract left. I do prefer wait till next June 2005. I will be free and I hope I will have some proposals. However, if a chance comes before I will take it.
9°/- Do you dream of playing for Moroccos first team? and why?
Of course, all Moroccan people dream to play in Senior national team. But I need to find a new club before thinking about national team.
10°/- A last word for the visitors of our site www.theatlaslions.com
I keep supporting Morocco national teams, hoping one day I will represent Morocco in the Senior level
